The Client
World Retreats is a company which provides a one-stop portal for anyone seeking a retreat holiday of any type.
The Task
The client came to us requesting a full e-commerce solution for their virtual enterprise, an online presence was required where 3rd party companies could come along and self advertise their own retreat holidays on the website in various different ways via text and images.
There would be two payment options available to each company at the end of the 'adding you retreat' process, either a one off payment for a set time or a yearly/monthly subscription service.
Once retreats were vetted, companies could self manage their own retreats and add extra advertising through an online management system.
The result was a 'Self contained, straight out of the box virtual business' which not only filled all the technical criteria specified but is also visually appealing and adheres to web standards.
