Web developer, PHP job in Newcastle / Gateshead, North East – PHP / MySQL – Full Time, Permanent.

Due to a raft of new client wins and continued success with existing clients, a great opportunity has arisen with ne-web for a Web Developer for immediate start. Based in Gateshead within the Design Works building, ne-web is established in the region and aims to be one of the leading digital agencies in the North East providing digital, ecommerce and CMS as well as branding and SEO solutions for a diverse client base from start-ups to plc.
You will be a developer well-versed in both PHP and MySQL, with a strong understanding of database applications, object oriented methodologies and MVC framework approaches.
Working in conjunction with our front end design and build team, your challenge will be to turn finished html design templates into fully functioning websites from small brochure sites up to large scale bespoke web applications. The role entails programming of custom modules and bespoke back-end functionality for a range of projects including ecommerce and CMS solutions.

You should be a good communicator as you will be working within a close knit and highly experienced team of web professionals, for a wide range of great clients, and on rewarding projects. You should be committed, enthusiastic and passionate about web development and it’s likely you will have a degree in a related discipline and around 1-2 years commercial experience. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary dependent upon experience and fantastic working environment.
