The Client

The North East is the first region in the country to support a project dedicated to networking regeneration initiatives to promote the sharing of knowledge, skills and information. Regeneration practitioners from initiatives across the region steer and inform the development of the services that the project offers. The project aims to work wherever possible with partner agencies in the region and has developed networks with a range of broad and diverse groups.

The Task

There was already an existing website in place which had been designed by another department of the City of Sunderland Council but it had become outdated and no longer presented a professional image for the organisation. The Regeneration Exchange in house team look after the day to maintenance of the site but when it became a requirement to have a database applcation implemented, they needed expert help. Two Access databases containing hundreds of records detailing Projects and Library Resources held by Regeneration Exchange were converted into mysql and a web native application consisting of both front and back-end elements for online management and interrogation was introduced. We also consulted on hosting and carried out the necessary upgrades to the server, as well as putting in place a visitor statistics package for the site. We were commissioned to implement the technical aspects of the project, and also selected to create a more polished interface with a look & feel re-design for the whole site.If you have a similar requirement call us now for a no obligation quote.
