World Retreats were a start-up company aiming to create revenue through advertising 3rd party holiday retreats online.
The client required a powerful e-commerce solution for their virtual enterprise. An added facility was required which allowed 3rd party companies to self-advertise their own retreat holidays on the website in various different ways via text and images.
There would be two payment options available to each company after data entry was completed, either a one-off payment for a set time or a yearly/monthly subscription service.
Once retreats had been vetted, companies could self-manage their own retreats and upload extra advertising material utilising an online management system.
The resulting website is a ’Self contained, straight out of the box virtual business’ which adheres to current web standards. All of the technical criteria specified were satisfied and the website is also visually appealing.
World Retreats has been a great success and is now an established virtual business, enjoying a steady revenue stream with very low expenditure.
