World Retreats were a start-up company aiming to create revenue through advertising 3rd party holiday retreats online.
The client needed a powerful e-commerce solution for their virtual enterprise, an online presence was required where 3rd party companies could come along and self advertise their own retreat holidays on the website in various different ways via text and images.
There would be two payment options available to each company at the end of the 'adding you retreat' process, either a one off payment for a set time or a yearly/monthly subscription service.
Once retreats were vetted, companies could self manage their own retreats and add extra advertising through an online management system.
The result was a ’Self contained, straight out of the box virtual business’ which not only filled all the technical criteria specified but is also visually appealing and adheres to web standards.
World Retreats has been a great success and is now an established virtual business, bringing in a steady stream of revenue with very little outgoings.
