Forest Carbon set up woodland carbon projects for organisations keen to give something back to the environment.
Forest Carbon contacted us to redesign their website. The original website was dated and inaccessible in the majority of web browsers and mobile devices. The site wasn't projecting the level of professionalism the client wanted so they decided a complete overhaul was needed.
After a meeting we compiled a list of features the new site would need, the primary ones being a dynamic map to promote the schemes they have setup and a dynamic CMS which could handle updating content, specifically the homepage which is used to promote the latest news. The client also wanted an unobtrusive shop for users to purchase gift cards and tree sponsorship online.
Forest Carbon are overjoyed with the website. The dynamic map which shows off the projects is an excellent way to promote the companies that Forest Carbon work with and show off to the user just how far the scheme reaches.
The CMS has custom templates implemented, if the client wants to add a dynamic FAQ page they can. If they need a two column layout it's available for selection within the CMS. Just about every piece of content on the site, including the header image, can be updated through the easy to use CMS.
The e-commerce aspect is tucked away, ensuring users can take in the content without any distractions such as a shopping basket and product categories. One of the main objectives within the initial brief.
