Necdaf was set up as a not for profit organisation in the intent to create an online community for cultural organisations, regional artists from culturally diverse backgrounds and public sector agencies.
The main aspect of the website was centered around the artists database, this also offered the biggest development challenge. Here, artists could add their own portfolio along with an avatar image and multiple portfolio images, they could also choose which personal details they would prefer to be displayed online, excluding contact details where necessary. The portfolios were then added to the database waiting approval from Necdaf before going live on the website.
Necdaf also includes a forum, a featured artists section on the homepage and an events section, which includes details of past and future events.
