Fashion Guru is an online clothing retailer offering premium fashion labels at a fraction of the cost of the high street outlets.
The site is based on our own e-commerce platform but due to the way the client wanted to display the product range, we built a custom menu system using JavaScript, making sure that it was accessible, search engine friendly and worked in browsers with JavaScript turned off.
In the fast-moving fashion trade, the client of course wanted to be able to upload new products to their e-shop themselves so we gave a little training in the use of the catalogue management system that powers the site. For ongoing maintenance, we were also on hand to guide the client through the process of setting up a photography area of their own, and all at minimal cost.
Since clothing is the kind of product that customers need to see in detail before buying, we implemented an image management and enlargement feature so that users get to see a close-up. In the admin section behind the scenes, multiple images in a range of sizes can easily be uploaded to the site without the need for any Photoshop skills.
