The Client

A very successful Speed Dating venture that brings speed dating to the UK. In short, participants get up to 20 three-minute mini-dates in one fun evening. There’s more info about Speed Dating events on the site.

The Brief

To create a site which as well as having a modern, young and fashionable look & feel, allows Ditch or Date staff the ability to update the events, venue information and stories on the site without needing any web design skills.

An online booking system with payment processing was required so that people could pay right away with the minimum of fuss.

The Solution

A Content Management System was implemented to take care of news story editing, and the system makes use of the latest techniques in Word style online editors to give a totally simplistic interface that couldn’t be easier to use. Of course photos can be uploaded and included on the pages too using a seamlessly integrated image manager.

The events booking system makes use of SECPay as a Payment Service Provider and can accept Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Switch, Solo & Delta.

All bookings are recorded and made available in a secure admin area that Ditch or Date staff can use to view and print attendee lists and the details of those confirmed plus others who have registered their interest.

The site took £600 in the first 2 weeks of taking payments online!

The Client

Face Fine Arts was founded by the artist Lynn Maria Rocks and has an ever-expanding collection of artworks in many different genres and styles available for sale to the general public. They aim to bring affordable fine art to everyone.

The Task

After being impressed with the style and success of our e-commerce websites, the client came to us requesting a professional and stylish website with our full e-commerce solution implemented for the secure sale of fine art pieces over the Internet.

Along with our shopping basket facility we also added our extremely successful advanced refine search to the website so users could easily search for and navigate through different products.

For this project our developers programmed a unique zoom feature so users could hover their mouse over a piece of artwork and view the piece in more detail. We also implemented an ‘artwork to scale’ image showing the user the size of the artwork in relation to an average sized person to help them gain more of a feeling of what the impact of the artwork would be.

The result is an elegant website which has been well planned to help give the user as much helpful information as possible in a format which is easy to understand.
