Business Overview
Manage Train Learn had a website that needed a design revamp and also a new ecommerce system to generate more sales online.
Problem
The lack of consistency in the navigation and a complex products hierarchy made it hard for users to find their way to buy products.
Approach / Solution
The purpose of the redesign was to make the website easy to navigate and facilitate the purchase of the different products.
A consistent navigation and the re-organised products hierarchy combined with our ecommerce system improved the usability of the website and thus inflating sales.
Success
Manage Train Learn are now selling several items a day with their new website.

The Client
Abacus is a successful design and fabrication company based in Washington, Tyne & Wear, UK. They specialise in the of manufacture of high quality cloakroom and changing room fittings and equipment, as well as similar storage and shelving items.
The Task
There was little printed material or existing logo and branding. In the absence of a strong brand identity, we recommended that a new look and feel be created which could be carried across other media, such as letterhead and business cards.
We also decided to create a new logo, which would have a modern look and symbolise the company’s identity. Some web design mockups were provided from which Abacus picked their preferred choice of colour scheme and design.
This was the first website for Abacus so we designed it from scratch and have coded it using the latest W3C standards compliant XHTML and CSS code.
The idea for the layout of the website was mainly to showcase their products and give them an online presence, enabling clients and new customers to contact them via an online form.
Because of the new legislation, regarding disabled access for blind and partially sighted website visitors, that affects all UK businesses since October 2004, we made the site to conform to W3C’s WCAG level 1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, otherwise known as Bobby Approved.) This was achieved by using techniques such as relative font sizes and best practice with alt tags.
