Abbey Design Durham specialise in producing plan drawings for extensions, conservatories and sun lounges and deals with all the issues involving building and planning regulations for domestic and commercial clients.

The creative brief was to craft an original design incorporating the existing logo and identity, and to create a clear, well laid out, easy to navigate website with appeal for potential clients through the use of aspirational imagery with a lifestyle angle, whilst also conveying the technical nature of their work.

Abbey Design required a website that could easily be updated not just with the latest company news but also with new examples of their finished projects requiring multiple photographs for each one and all to be achieved with the minimum of effort on the part of the client. We provided a solution based on our standards compliant, accessible CMS and also gave the client full control to add new sections to the menus putting them in complete control.

A sprinkling of SEO and a little training completed the project, and the site is now reaching number 1 Google rankings.

GNP Equipment is a company that trades in reconditioned industrial equipment and machinery. The main brief for the website was to get GNP’s machinery online to increase their customer audience and evidently increase sales.

Another factor was so customers could have a good look at the condition of the equipment prior to purchasing, resulting in a faster trade process and less time being wasted for the customer and GNP.

Because of this the need to be able to upload several images taken from all different angles was a must for each product.

This meant we also had to cater for images that would be uploaded in various aspect ratios, so we decided to display the full size image in an extra pop up window along with the usual thumbnail and cropped to size imagery, allowing the user to view the product from every possible angle.

The secondary purpose of the website was to help build new relationships with potential suppliers, encouraging people who may have machinery for sale to get in touch.

If you would like to showcase your products for sale to a larger audience like GNP Equipment, then please get in touch we’d love to hear from you.

Visit the website: Packaging Supplier Website (opens in a new window)

The Client

Tape-Right was formed in 1994 and has its premises located in Spennymoor, County Durham, UK. While their core business has typically been tape & polythene products and cardboard packaging, more recently Tape Right has had success with its contract packing division. Their customer focus has seen them become a preferred supplier to Electrolux.

The Task

A website was required which would give the client a professional presence on the web and generate new business for their contract packaging service. They also wanted to have full control over future text and image content, so with this in mind we designed and implemented a database driven website, incorporating a back office Content Management System (CMS).

In order to make the project a success, we also devised an on-line marketing strategy to include in the package, which would greatly increase targeted leads. The strategy included search engine optimization of key pages and submission to the top search engines and directories as well as setup and ongoing monitoring of pay-per-click advertising campaigns. This multifaceted approach will ensure maximum exposure for the website from day one. Further optimisation work is to be carried out after regular review by our promotion specialists.

This project was part funded by Business Link. As approved service providers, we can carry out projects like this with funding of 40% to 100% depending on your business circumstances. Please contact us for more info.

EHS response are a new business that came to us for a website that would represent them as a modern, dynamic and professional organisation. They wanted a website that was crisp, fresh and above all easy to use.

As EHS response didn’t already have a brand, the first step was to design a logo. Our designer came up with a logo that was stylish and modern, incorporating green leaves into the logo to represent the environmental aspect of the services. This logo can now be seen not just on the website, but on all of the company’s documents. We designed their double-sided business cards, compliment slips and letterheads to include the logo. We used the leaves to create most of the design focus, so that they’d attract the attention of the reader but still leaving each document with enough clear space so that all of the important details are visible.

For the website, our designer used white space to portray a professional, clean design, which the client wanted. The company services are easily navigated on the left hand menu, and the other website pages can be found across the top navigation. A traditional layout for a website like this was employed, which all users will be familiar with, making the website easy to browse.

Our developers implemented our tried and tested content management system so that EHS response can manage all of their content on their website even adding new services, as well as keeping track of any enquiries that the website takes.

The outcome is a website and corporate identity that EHS response and ourselves are very happy with.

Here are a few words from John Binns, the Managing Director of EHS Response:

“I would like to thank you, ne-web for all your hard work. I’m very happy with the brand identity you have created to represent EHS Response. I would also like to thank you for the help and guidance given to me through the course of the project and I’m sure it will prove invaluable to me in the future. Overall I’m very pleased with the project as It was exactly what I wanted, designed with my thoughts in need, and delivered to the required deadline.”
